Busy buzzing bumbling stumbling

holding myself up with wings

impossibly and hopefully

for all to see

just like the bee.

Days are full and good and fast

short hours scatter in the breeze

for everyone and everything

and all the while we seem to be,

searching and finding and slowly unwinding.

But faith is my honey my garden my sea.

I feel as though this morning I drank a very large, very cold and awful glass of melancholia and death. It was thick, and grey, and acidic, and it kept me full for the rest of this painfully long Thursday. This is a messy metaphor, but it’s what I feel like. Quite exactly.

A friend and coworker of mine passed away today. There was a car accident. I didn’t know her very well, but she was young and pretty and about to get married. It’s a real life tragedy and I can’t stop thinking about it. I cried all over myself for hours today. I really can’t handle death, I’m too empathetic. I feel everything everyone else feels and everything I think they should be feeling along with my own emotions. Then at some point I don’t even know what belongs to who and my insides turn to jelly. I’m so tired and so sorry. I’m so very sorry to everyone that loved Abigail, and I truely hope she’s at peace.

Everything is so temporary, and so much bigger than I understand. I just want to be better at this craziness before it’s finished.

My face is falling off because of this kitten and we’re fresh out of allergy medication. I picked up Arby’s for my dad at noon and he just found the food a minute ago. Everyone’s home. I feel like we’re a family again. It’s warm in the house. In case you see this Laura, I think your haircut is nice. My whole house currently epitomizes the day after Christmas. I should clean up after we watch The Blind Side. Twice. It’s a good movie, really.
